Looks like it is going to take more than a remake of a 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger flick to knock The Dark Knight off the top of the box office.

The Dark Knight Rises won the weekend box office for a third straight weekend with Len Wiseman's Total Recall starring Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale making a modest $26 million to claim second place. Meanwhile, the weekend's other wide release, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, notched $14.7 million, the lowest opening weekend total for the Wimpy Kid franchise to date.

The flick took third place for the weekend. Between the two flicks though, Wimpy Kid earned better review from critics and audiences alike, though it was still considered rotten with 50% of critics giving it the thumbs up.
