If you did the math, a May 1, 2015 opening seemed logical for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers 2.
Marvel Studios likes being the first summer blockbuster out of the gate.

And the studio has announced enough programming to keep them busy through the end of 2014, with sequels for Thor and Captain America on the horizon.
We’d speculated, but Marvel Studios today confirmed that Whedon’s expected blockbuster will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
