By the second scene of Steven Soderbergh's (yes, the Oscar-winning flick director) ode to the little-explored inner world of male strippers, we see star and muse Channing Tatum sit up in bed, stumble to the bathroom, not a piece of clothing hanging from his muscled body.
Well, that was quick.
Magic Mike is not a flick interested in making you wait for the, ahem, visual payoffs suggested by its setting - middle-of-the-road Tampa strip club Xquisite - and along with Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello do away with their clothes in choreographed routines destined to make women smile, blush, laugh and maybe scream.
We sat down with both Tatum, whose short stint as a stripper inspired the movie, and "True Blood" werewolf Manganiello to talk about what you shouldn't do during a striptease, what it was like taking it all off and why this was pretty much the best job ever.
