A warlock and goddess set to join Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen's careers have both been in the doldrums of late, but the upcoming reboot-cum-sequel of the never-ending Scary Movie franchise, tentatively titled Scary Movie 5, looks set to give them yet another comeback opportunity.
Studio Dimension flicks have not officially confirmed either actor's casting, but E! report that they are both as good as signed on for the David Zucker-helmed horror spoof project.
Fans of the series will note that Tom, Charlie Sheen's character in 2006's Scary Movie 4 — taglined "The fourth and final chapter in the trilogy" — ends the flick by appearing on Oprah, committing a variety of Charle Sheen-like attention-seeking antics and throwing Cindy (Anna Faris) off the stage.
Anna Faris, incidentally, has confirmed that she will not be part of the fifth installment of the franchise.
Lindsay Lohan's faltering career currently sees her appearing in US TV flick Liz & Dick, a biopic about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's tumultuous relationship.
Sheen, meanwhile, is faring somewhat better than Lohan.
Since leaving immensely successful sitcom Two And A Half Men in 2010, his new television series Anger Management — based on the Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson flick of the same name — is now airing on FX, and Robert Rodriguez has cast him in his action exploitation sequel Machete Kills as, you guessed it, the President of the United States.
Scary Movie 5 is set for a April 19 release next year.
