Undaunted by the failure of Battleship, director Peter Berg is already lining up new projects.
The director (and occasional actor) is currently prepping a Navy SEAL flick based on the book Lone Survivor, but recent news also has him attached to direct Father’s Day. Based on a book by H.G. "Buzz" Bissinger, Father's Day is a biography chronicling the author’s relationship with his twin sons, including one who has intellectual handicaps.
A summer road trip provides the backdrop as the father tries to understand what his disabled son is going through.
Sounds like quite the change of pace from Battleship. Berg and Bissinger (who are cousins) have collaborated in the past.
