One of my most-anticipated flicks for the second half of 2012 has to be Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master.

(OK, fine, I have about 20 “most-anticipated” flicks for the remainder of the year, but The Master easily would be in the Top 5 on that list.) PTA’s past flicks have been spectacular, and he has assembled an amazing cast for what looks to be a taut conflict between strong-willed protagonists.

I’m also hearing that Joaquin Phoenix is off-the-charts great in Master, and you can get a good sense of what he’s trying to do in the latest clip, which dropped this morning in support of a Chicago benefit screening.
