While actor Michael Fassbender and director Ridley Scott make the media rounds to promote Prometheus, one of this summer's most anticipated movies, thousands of emerging filmmakers participating in Your Film Festival will be eagerly waiting for something else from the pair.
The pioneering online short flick contest, with a focus on storytelling and an aim to give new talent a platform to showcase their work, is backed by Scott and Fassbender who also double as jurors.
Out of the thousands of entries submitted, 50 will be selected for a public vote and 10 semifinalists will travel to Italy to have their work screened at this year's Venice Film Festival where a winner will be determined.
The prize, a $500,000 grant, will go towards a new project that will be produced with the help of Scott's company Scott Free.... See Complete Article @ Cineplex
