After having so much success bringing the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes back to the big screen with Robert Downey Jr., Warner Bros is keen on having director Guy Ritchie bring some more classic literature to the big screen.
Deadline reports Ritchie is now attached to helm a new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic pirate adventure Treasure Island with Alex Harakis writing the script as his first feature flick screenplay.
Ritchie will also produce the flick with his production partner Lionel Wigram and Kevin McCormick at Langley Park.
Apparently Wigram has been developing the project for awhile now.
