According to the Telegraph, Russell Crowe will make his feature directing debut with a biopic about late comedian Bill Hicks—because when you think "comedy," you think Russell Crowe, and then Russell Crowe stares at you like he's going to rip your throat out.
As the script hails from his longtime friend Mark Staufer, Crowe has been attached to the project for years, even at one point considering starring as Hicks.
That's apparently no longer in the cards, as Crowe has aged out of the part, as well as moved on to primarily prop-based comedy.
