Today, Sylvester Stallone returned to Comic-Con, and brought his action hero buddies with him.

The Expendables 2 panel, which took place at the legendary Hall H, opened with a trailer, which ScreenCrush‘s Jordan Hoffman best described as a “roll call of action cinema’s greatest heroes intercut with images of explosions and fisticuffs.”

Sly was joined by Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Jean Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Unfortunately, Chuck Norris and Bruce Willis weren’t present.

They weren’t scheduled to be present, but there was some hope that they would magically arrive.

Didn’t happen.

Now that would’ve been real Real American Heroes panel, eh?

According to UT San Diego, the panel felt like a reunion between friends, with plenty of laughs and stories being shared.

Sly and Schwarzenegger recalled the first time they met.

It was the day Rocky won the Globe for Best Picture.

The two also joked about competitiveness amongst other.

Schwarzenegger said, “We often looked to see who had more oil in his muscles.”

When they finally opened the panel for the audience to ask questions, a fan asked Stallone which was his favorite Schwarzenegger movie, by which he answered, with absolutely no hesitation, ‘Junior.’

Schwarzenegger also mentioned that he’d would definitely like to make a Twins sequel, but instead of calling it that, he’d like it to be titled Triplets.

He might just get his way.

It all might depend on how well Expendables 2 does.

This does, after all, mark his return to action flicks and it seems like people have missed him very much.

At one point, Schwarzenegger said, “Crush your enemies,” and the crowd at Hall H went insane.

Another highlight was when Schwarzenegger was presented with IGN’s Action Hero Hall of Fame Award.

Sly, who has received the award in the past, did the honors.

The panel ended with a scene from the film.

Hoffman described it as a shootout at the airport, where a bunch of people kill each other.

And with that, the the action heroes left the building.

The Expendables 2 hits theaters August 17.

That’s sooner than you think!
