Everything old is new again: Cate Blanchett will play the wicked stepmother in Disney’s live-action update of  ”Cinderella.” If that makes you feel old, just imagine when they finally get around to live action versions of “Aladdin” and “The Little Mermaid.”

The cast of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere has been announced.

This isn’t a movie, mind you: It’s a radio play.

However, the talent is so great you’ll swear they were right in the room with you.

James McAvoy, Christopher Lee, and Sophie Okonedo, for starters! If they ever do make a proper flick version, they’d be hard-pressed to outshine this  bunch.

Everyone’s breathless to see what the final cut of “Django Unchained” will look like.

Including Quentin Tarantino himself: Apparently the director is still making last-minute changes to the flick before it’s set to screen for Academy voters on December 5.

They’d better bring their donut pillows, because at last count “Django” was three hours and twelve minutes long.

Look on the bright side: At least you’ll be getting more flick for your $14 ticket.

Seventy-six years ago, The New Yorker rejected F.

Scott Fitzgerald‘s short story Thank You for the Light, a cosmic wrong that they’ve righted by publishing the story this week.

The story could easily have been overlooked; it’s just a page long, and was rediscovered by Fitzgerald’s grandchildren as they went through some old papers.

The publication told him back in 1936 that the story was “really too fantastic.” It still technically is — “fantastic” just happens to have a slightly different meaning these days.
