Following yesterday's alternate opening, we now have a three-minute deleted scene from Joss Whedon's The Avengers, focusing more explicitly on Captain America dealing with the modern world.
Though the clip (as with the alternate opening) doesn't quite fit tonally with the rest of the film, the development and story beats offered are certainly welcome.
The waitress in the climax, for instance, now makes quite a bit more sense.
